About The Role

Allara is looking for a Patient Care Concierge to join our team to support our patients and practitioners. We believe patient experience is one of the most important and essential roles in our company. For that reason we are looking for someone that can help us to fulfill our mission of building a better women’s healthcare experience. You will work with both patients and providers to ensure our patients are getting the care they need.

As a Patient Care Concierge you will:

  • Deliver amazing service to our providers and patients, primarily via email/messaging

  • Provide ongoing case management
  • Answer user questions about our product and provide personalized online appointment booking support
  • Work with patients and providers to make sure their medical needs - including laboratory orders and prescriptions - are being fulfilled
  • Triage urgent care requests and calls from pharmacies and external providers
  • Relay customer insights to support product development
  • Provide other duties as assigned

We’re looking for:

  • A background in customer facing roles, with a preference for experience with healthcare
  • Strong attention to detail - you won’t let any patients or tasks fall through the cracks
  • Dedication to delivering excellent patient service in the pursuit of better healthcare outcomes
  • Problem-solving skills to help find creative solutions to patient needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy for patients and commitment to work with discretion as you would be working with sensitive data
  • Prior experience with working remotely in a healthcare setting
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to simultaneously navigate an EMR and other tech platforms
  • Reliable internet connection, computer or laptop and a quiet space to work

Additional helpful experiences and skills:

  • Experience working with sensitive health information
  • Experience as a medical assistant, in social work, nursing, public health or related field
  • Knowledge and ability to read and understand medical notes to support patient follow up
  • Experience in insurance navigation, claims advocacy, medical billing and prior authorizations is helpful

About the role:

  • 100% remote and can be done anywhere (though the company is based in NYC)
  • Part-time and hourly to start (20 hours per week), with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role
  • Weekend shifts may be necessary based on scheduling needs
